Snooker

Snooker CoachesSnooker is quite a popular game that requires some practice and skills to become a great player. It is played on a pool table that varies in size. However the professional snooker players play on a regulated table that measure 6 feet by 12 feet.

Pool tables have four corner pockets as well as two side pockets. The game is played with 22 balls which include 15 red balls and 6 balls varying in colour. The idea of any snooker game is to score the most points.

This is done by pocketing balls in the correct order according to the games rules. You can increase the points you earn by potting balls of higher points once played in accordance to the rules.

When the game is played professionally a predefined number of frames are set and whoever wins the most of the frames, wins the game.

So what are the rules of snooker?

1- A player can stay at the snooker table as long as they continue to pot balls. If the players does not pot a ball after taking a shot it is then the other players turn.

2- The player must hit the correct ball first or else it is considered a foul. It is also considered a foul if the player pots a ball they didn’t intend to or if a ball leaves the table.

3- As long as there are red balls left on the table this is the first ball that the player must hit and pot.

If the player pots the coloured ball then the next ball they pot must be a red ball, providing of course there is still a red ball left on the table.

As long as the correct ball is potted the player must alternate between the red ball and a coloured ball.

5- Once all the reds have been potted the player must attempt to pot the coloured balls according their value in a descending order.

Basically a snooker game is won when a player scores more points than his opponent. Snooker is a game loved by many and can be played professionally in tournaments for large prizes.
